SANTA

Wow, I love this piece.  I have been working on it for a few days.  I used wool applique, punch needle and cross stitch in this piece.  I made this using a pattern by Country Stitches.  After I got it completed had to go hunt for a frame for it.  That was fun also, went to several antique shops.  Love days like that.

Have a Wonderful Thanksgiving!!!

WELCOME BACK TO THE USA 179TH

Please take a moment and welcome this group back to the good ole USA and to thank them for their services.

First of all, I want to truly thank each and every one of you that have gave me encouragement while my son was deployed!!  Thank you for all the messages that I have received, your support has been grateful!!!

I am hear to say, YES I am truly PROUD OF MY SON, but I do not ever want this experience again.  I worried daily, of his safety!!  I know he is trained to do his job, but he is not the one that scared me!!
I feel so blessed and happy beyond any words of expression.
I at this time have not seen him yet, that is soon, and he will be home with us and no longer in danger, until he makes mom mad(haha).
Thank you Jesus for watching over my son and all of our Military!!  God Bless The USA and for sure all of our Soldiers.
I love you Matt and and I am so Happy to have you back in the USA, see you very soon!!!
Thank you all for stopping by!!
Rhonda--one happy momma!!!

HOOKIN & PUNCHIN

Just finished hooking up this great pattern by Buttermilk Basin.  I love the colors of autumn, actually ready for it to be Fall!!  I still need to steam and bind this rug.  Waste not want not, as you can see I sewed extra fabric around my piece of monks cloth so it would fit on my frame.

I started punching this yesterday.  I made my needle longer for longer loops on my flowers, I think it looks really neat.  Now to figure out how I will finish this piece up.

FINISHED RUGS

I hooked these rugs up in the past couple of weeks.  The top 2 are patterns offered by Star Rug Company, I love how both of them turned out.  The penny rug below I just drew up, that is easy to do, not much challenge to tracing a circle.  But I do love how it turned out as well, I still need to steam and bind the penny rug.

GOD BLESS THEM ALL

This photo is of the group deployed together.  Thank you so much for your services, I will pray everyday for God to keep you all safe.  I am very happy you all have each other and all the support from us here at home.
This photo is Matt and Rachel getting their see you later kiss.  This was the taken the day of deployment.  This picture really pulls on my heart-strings.  They so love each  other and someday I hope to call her my daughter-in-law.  Love them both very much.

This photo is Lake and his momma.  He is a very good friend of Matt's.  He spends time at our home each drill weekend, we enjoy having him!!  Very kind and polite young man he is.  I know his parents are very proud of him.  Also in the background of this pic is Matt and Rachel, so lucky to have gotten them in this shot.  Thanks to Sharon (Lake's Momma) for sharing this photo with me.

thanks for stopping by and thank you, thank you for all the kind comments you all send, means so much.  PLEASE KEEP OUR MILITARY MEN AND WOMEN IN YOUR PRAYERS!!!!

VERY PROUD

Well in this photo Matt is sporting his New Camo for the desert, and I also can see hmm what is that, Oh my, a mustache.  Wonder how long he will keep that??

In this photo he said just shot the 50 cal, bad ass, wants one.  Well I have no clue what a 50 cal is, but I do know those are some big bullets.  Just think how heavy that is wrapped around the neck.  Still looks like he is enjoying his training, soon he will be off flying overseas.  So very PROUD OF HIM, I am!!!  But still makes me want to cry.  Trying to stay strong, for him!!
Thanks for all that send your prayers, We do appreciate
Rhonda
